Never Lose Faith

As most of you may know, it has been a very crazy journey of a little over a year for our family. But Ezekiel is finally home with us, and we feel really good about it. He is doing so great, and we know he is going to be home with us for a long long time before going back to the hospital to have his last major surgery within the next couple of years!

I’m writing this post today to share with y’all that FAITH is the reason why I am now home, and holding my baby in my arms.

This journey with Ezekiel has been filled with many trials and tribulations. But through it all, I never once lost faith in God, His word, His plan, or His promises for our family.

In the moments that were tough, and I mean REALLY tough, I remained firm in my faith in Jesus. And when most people’s flesh would have taken over and allowed the enemy to come in and feed on very normal feelings of fear, doubt, and panic — I chose to place all of my weaknesses into God’s hands until I had nothing left, only to be filled with His overwhelming love, peace, and strength.

I prayed day in and day out. Some were prayers of desperation, some were prayers for peace, and most were ones of gratitude. But regardless of what it was that I was praying about, I never stopped talking to God.

My heart and posture was always one of submission to the Lord; to always keep my heart and spirit open to listen to what God was trying to tell me, and to be obedient to where He was always trying to lead me.

And because of my faith, God gave me an unexplainable amount of strength and peace to endure this tough first year of Ezekiel’s life. I don’t wish any of what we have been through on anyone, but I do pray that you all are able to experience even a glimpse of God’s glory and be a witness to His miracles, love, and faithfulness during your lifetime.

I feel like I kinda went off on a tangent there… but what I’m trying to do is encourage you to keep strong in your faith. Trust God. You may not know where He is leading you or WHY you are going through what you’re going through. But just have faith and TRUST that Jesus loves you so much and that He will always bring you to His glory on the other side of whatever storm you’re in.

“But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!”
